Stars to perform non-stop on Nov 30 Lending a helping hand to Hudhud victims in the City of Destiny, the Telugu film industry will organise a series of entertainment programmes for 12 hours non-stop from 10 am to 10 pm on Nov 30.
Addressing a press conference at the Rama Naidu Studios in the city, film producer D Suresh Babu said that people from the entire film industry would take part in the programme to raise funds for restoration of cyclone ravaged places. The events include games, skits, 'anthakshari' and several other programmes by Tollywood artistes, he added.
Producer Allu Aravind said that a 'Dine with Stars' programme would be organised on Nov 29 in which Tollywood stars would be taking part. The speciality of the event is that the organisers are allowing 250 special couples paying `1 lakh as donation towards hudhud relief.
Apart from that, on Nov 30, cricket and kabaddi players would play matches stars and take part in special events. A 'Tambola' would also be organised.
To view the 'Memu Saitham' programme live on November 30, 104 participants would be selected through lucky draws. Even the couples for the 'Dine with Stars' programme, would be selected through lucky draws. Those who are interested in participating in the programme can download the tickets from a website created especially for the programme.
HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and panchayat raj minister Ch Ayyana Patrudu lauded the Tollywood film industry for coming forward to take the initiative.
Meanwhile, actor D Venkatesh and Shriya Saran expressed happiness over being able to take part in the programme. The money received through all these activities will be forwarded to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund on behalf of the Telugu Film Industry.
