Telangana Assembly passes Appropriation Bill Hyderabad, Nov 28 (INN): The Telangana State Legislative Assembly on Friday passed the Appropriation Bill for 2014-15.
The Appropriation Bill, introduced by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, was supported by Congress, BJP, MIM, YSRCP and CPI (M). KCR thanked the opposition parties for their support. He also made several clarifications on the doubts raised by the legislators belonging to all parties.
Stating that the Congress party was not against the developmental activities, Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy announced Congress party's support for the Bill.
While demanding that the government release White Paper on the State's finance, MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi supported the Bill. Demanding that the TRS Government fulfill all the promises that it made with the people during elections, BJP floor leader Dr K Lakshman announced his party's support for the Appropriation Bill.
However, TDP members staged a walkout from the House in protest against the behaviour of members of treasury benches who did not allow A Revanth Reddy to speak in the House during the debate on Appropriation Bill. Speaker S Madhusudan Chary adjourned the House for Saturday after the Appropriation Bill was passed.
