Shopping mall soon at Chanchalguda Jail Hyderabad, Dec 13 (INN): Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy on Saturday laid foundation stone for the construction of a shopping mall at Chanchalguda Jail.
Speaking to media persons later, the Home Minister the shopping mall would be constructed on one acre of land at a cost of Rs 8 crore. Besides serving as an outlet to sell the products manufactured by the inmates lodged in Chanchalguda, Cherlapally and Warangal jails, the proposed mall would also be rented out for other commercial purposes.
He said that he had earlier requested the governments departments like education and health to buy products such as Almirah, tables, chairs and sofas being manufactured by the jail inmates. He said the mall would facilitate better sale of those products.
