Financial problems drive two women to suicide Hyderabad, Dec 13 (INN): A 34-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to the losses that she suffered in the stock market.
The victim, M Sushma of Padma Colony in Nallakunta, had invested some money in share market after selling away her gold jewellery. However, she lost her money which consequently led her to suicide by jumping in front of a running train between Jamia Osmania and Vidyanagar on Saturday, according to Kachiguda Railway Police. Her husband, Kalyana Chaktravarthy, is a software engineer.
In a similar case, 19-year-old A Annapurna committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Roda Mistry Nagar near Indira Nagar on Friday night. She was engaged in tailoring work and financial problems are suspected to have led her to the extreme step, Jeedimetla police said.
