Bail for Gali in bail scam case HYDERABAD: Justice M Seetharama Murti of the Hyderabad High Court granted conditional bail to Gali Janardhan Reddy, former Karnataka minister and a prime accused in the illegal iron ore mining scam.
However, Gali will not be released on bail as he is in a judicial custody at Bengaluru in connection with the illegal mining cases registered against him and his Obulapuram Mining Company at Bengaluru and Hyderabad by the Central Bureau of Investigation. He was arrested in the illegal mining case and is in jail for the last three and half years.
It may be recalled that the ACB of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh had registered two cases against Gali for paying crores of rupees as bribe to the then judge T Pattabhirama Rao for bail and attempting to bribe the judge.
