KCR seeks Dattatreya's help to expedite projects HYDERABAD: In wake of Central government planning to amend the AP Reorganisation Act 2014, chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao has reportedly sought the assistance of Union minister Badaru Dattatreya in sending proposals from the state government.
The chief minister held discussions with the Union Minister and Secundrabad MP on finalising the proposals that would prove beneficial to Telangana and tackling any eventuality if the proposed amendments turned out to be detrimental to Telangana.
To harness the presence of veteran BJP leader in the Union Cabinet, the KCR government has been representing its grievances to him with an intention to exact additional benefits from the Centre.
True to his word of 'acting as bridge' between state and Central governments, the Secundrabad MP -the congenial person that he is - has been making efforts to cement the relations between the Telangana state and Modi government.
Against this backdrop, KCR has impressed upon the Union minister of the various pending projects sanctioned to Telangana and sought his help in getting speedy approval for the same. Besides, the duo also discussed additional funds from the Centre as the state had come into existence recently.
