Silk Expo begins at Satya Sai Nigamagamam
Hyderabad: Cotton and Silk Welfare Association's six day National Silk Expo-2015 was started at Sri Satya Sai Nigamagamam, Sri Nagar Colony, Hyderabad. Exposition will be on till 7th January from 10 am to 9pm. Tollywood actress chaitra inaugurated the Expo.
'Platforms such as this are required to reach out women looking for well-designed hand made cotton, silk wear and exclusive home textile, which can see the blend of different style and concept of silk handloom creations coming together under one roof' actress Chaitra Said.
The main social objective of the handloom exhibition is to promote weavers and encourage and provide a market to the handloom industry. Through these exhibitions, the association have been able to create good market for the weavers and their handloom woven ware, even in places where exhibitions are not feasible.
The exhibition motive is get pure silk and cotton products directly from weavers and sell to costumers without merchant. 50 designers and Artisans from 14 handloom weaving States are exhibiting their works. All types of Sarees, Churidars, dress material, fashion jewellery and home furnishing is being exhibited.
