KCR lends vastu tips to Naidu on new capital HYDERABAD: The chief ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, K Chandrasekhar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu respectively, are learnt to have decided to give a thought to governor ESL Narasimhan's suggestion that the two states conduct EAMCET alternatively.
If the last 'At Home' hosted by the governor on Independence Day had made the two leaders bury the hatchet and join hands for the first time, Monday's seems to have further strengthened the bonding between Rao and Naidu.
KCR, a staunch believer in astrology and numerology, is learnt to have given some Vastu suggestions to his AP counterpart Naidu on construction of the capital for Andhra Pradesh. He backed the decision to build a riverfront capital on the banks of the Krishna in Guntur district.
KCR, who had already told Naidu that as the Krishna flows at this place, setting up the new capital would be appropriate as per Vastu, reiterated his opinion on Monday.
'The very idea of constructing skyscrapers on the banks of River Krishna and ultra-modern bridges on it is a nice one. This will give world-class look to the new capital city,' KCR is learnt to have said.
When KCR and Naidu were discussing the Vastu of AP's new capital, Telangana Congress senior K Jana Reddy intervened to laud the efforts of Naidu to build a world-class capital for AP on the banks of the Krishna.
Both the chief ministers were seen interacting with each other as if there was no tension between the two states while the governor went around the Raj Bhavan lawns greeting other guests.
Though there were no warm hugs or cracking of jokes, like they did on the previous occasion, Naidu and Rao sat on either side of the governor.
They interacted with each other whenever the governor moved away to greet the guests. They continued talking with each other even when the governor returned to sit in his chair. Governor Narasimhan was also seen advising both of them.
KCR arrived at least 15 minutes behind schedule for the reception and kept both the governor and Naidu waiting.
A host of leaders from Telangana made it to the event while AP Assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao and two ministers B Gopalakrishna Reddy and K Atchannaidu attended from AP.
While leader of the opposition in the Telangana Assembly K Jana Reddy was seated beside KCR, AP opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was conspicuous by his absence.
