Seven killed as two SUVs collide in Mahabubnagar Hyderabad, Jan 27 (INN): In a ghastly road accident, seven persons were killed on the spot when two SUVs had a head-on collision near Kommireddipally village in Addakal police station limits of Mahabubnagar District on Tuesday morning.
According to Addakal police, the accident occurred when a Tavera vehicle (MH 26 V 4866) rammed into an Innova ((KL 07 BX 4257) coming from the opposition direction on NH-44. While the Tavera, carrying pilgrims, was going to Nanded in Maharashtra, the Innova was going to Kerela. While six passengers of Tavera vehicle died on the spot, one woman travelling in Innova died instantaneously.
The six Maharashtra victims have been identified as Balraj Jadhav, Raju, Shankar, Muthali Venkat Rao, Sunil Karnekar, and Balaji Pothedhar. All of them were aged between 30 and 40 years and belonged to Naigaon in Nanded district.
The passenger of Innova has been identified as Sindhu (38). She was wife of Faisal, who was the owner-cum-driver of Innova which met with the accident. Faisal and his son Asheem also sustained bleeding injuries.
On information, Kothakota Inspector D. Kishan and Addakal Sub-Inspector M. Venkateshwarlu rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to District Headquarters Hospital at Mahabubnagar for post-mortem.
