8,000 acres acquired so far for Capital THULLUR (GUNTUR):Stern action will be initiated against illegal layouts in capital area and cases will be booked against the owners of those layouts, municipal administration minister P Narayana has said.
Interacting with mediapersons after participating in land-pooling programme at Nelapadu village, he cautioned people against such illegal layouts.
'Till date, we have acquired 8,100 acre land. In Nelapadu village itself, we have acquired 918 acre of the target 1,220 acre. In the capital area, 7,420 farmers got loan waiver as promised. Loans of the remaining 9,000 farmers will be waived by Feb 3,' he said.
The minister said that CRDA commissioner N Srikanth has been directed to prepare Detailed Project Report (DPR) for smart villages.
He said till date 26 officials deputed to CRDA have reported for duties and they have expedited the land-pooling process. He said by Feb 1, 10,000 acre will be acquired and acquisition of another 5,000 acre to 8,000 acre has been fixed as target till Feb 15.
CRDA additional commissioner Gandham Chandrudu has been entrusted with the task of removing illegal layouts in capital area limits. He said measures are being taken to utilise geo, nanotechnology and mobile camera survey.
Tadikonda MLA T Sravan Kumar, Guntur municipal commissioner Kanna Babu and CRDA additional commissioner Chandrudu were present.
