Property Tax can be paid through seven banks Hyderabad, March 2 (INN): Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao has appealed the citizens of Greater Hyderabad to pay their taxes in time and cooperate with the GHMC to make Hyderabad a World Class City.
In this connection, for the convenience of the tax payers, the Minister has formally launched for payment of the taxes in 323 branches in Hyderabad of seven banks - State Bank of Hyderabad, Kotak Mahindra Bank,. IndusInd Bank, ING Vysya Bank, Yes Bank, Indian Bank and HDFC Bank. Keeping in view of the convenience for the citizens, the GHMC has taken up this programme to pay their taxes early, seamless and in a more convenient way without any problem.
KTR said the existing system of Property Tax includes Mee-Seva centres, citizen service Centres in 18 circles of the GHMC and hand-held devices of bill collectors and internet banking. Keeping in view of the importance and convenience of the citizens and tax payers this programme has been launched.
GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar said that the nationalized and private banks are also coming forward to join hands with the GHMC in providing services for paying taxes through their banks. With the help of net banking they will save the time and as well as much convenience in paying their taxes.
The Commissioner further stated that the separate counters have been organized in all the banks for the convenience of the tax payers. The citizens can also pay their taxes using net banking Credit card or Debit Card without any glitches.
Additional Commissioner (Revenue) S Hari Krishna, Additional Commissioner (Finance) D Jayaraj Kennedy and senior officials of the GHMC have participated in the inaugural function.
