Sangh Parivar a Bachelors' Club: Akbar Owaisi Hyderabad: MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Monday described the Sangh Parivar as "Bachelors' Club"
Addressing the MIM's 57th Revival Day celebrations at Darulsalaam here, Akbaruddin Owaisi strongly criticised the statement made by BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj wherein he asked Hindus to produce four children. He said that most of the members of Sangh Parivar do not get married themselves. Despite being bachelors themselves, they are advising others to produce four children. Before giving such advises, he said, the Sangh Parivar leaders should guarantee jobs and education to those children. "It sounds ridiculous when members of Bachelors'' Club asks other to produce more children," he said.
Akbaruddin Owaisi also criticised a recent GO issued by the Central Government permitting government employees to join the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He alleged that RSS had played no role in the freedom movement and instead, its activists worked in tandem with the Britishers. He said RSS was also responsible for the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. Therefore, permitting the employees to join such an organisation was not good for the country, he said.
The MIM leader also announced that his party would expand to other territories and regions. He said that the MIM would contest forthcoming Assembly elections in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka and other States. He said that the MIM's call for equal justice and opportunities for Muslim community has been well received and the party has been getting tremendous response across the country. He said that the MIM would take all communities, especially the Dalits, along.
Akbaruddin Owaisi said that the MIM would establish an auditorium with a capacity of 4,500 people at Darulsalaam. Similarly, efforts were on to set up a Law College, Political Research Centre and expand the services of Darulsalaam Bank in other parts of the country.
Interestingly, during his 90-minute long speech, Akbaruddin Owaisi did not mention anything about the TRS Government in Telangana. He neither praised nor criticised the TRS Government.
Charminar MLA and MIM General Secretary Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri welcomed the hundreds of party workers and leaders who had assembled on the occasion. The programme started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Ahsan Ali Ehtesham and Naat-e-Shareef by Md Shafi Quadri.
MIM legislators, ex-corporators and other leaders participated in the Formation Day celebrations.
MIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi could not participate as he was away in New Delhi to attend the ongoing budget session of Parliament.
