Komatireddy opposes Uttam as TPCC Head Hyderabad, March 3 (INN): Congress senior leader and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has strongly opposed the selection of N Uttam Kumar Reddy as the new president of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises here on Tuesday, Komatireddy said it was inappropriate on the part of Congress High Command to impose its decision without even consulting party legislators, MPs and other leaders. He said that the selection of new TPCC chief was not done in a democratic manner and it would only hurt the party's interest in Telangana.
Meanwhile, former MP Ponnam Prabhakar has welcomed the elevation of Uttam Kumar Reddy as TPCC president. He said being a loyal Congress worker, he welcomes the decision taken by the Congress High Command.
