CLP finalises agenda for budget session Hyderabad, March 6 (INN): The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has decided to raise over 25 major issues of public interest during the budget session of Telangana Legislative Assembly and Council beginning from Saturday.
The decision was taking during the meeting held at Assembly's Committee Hall here on Friday. The meeting was attended by Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy, CLP leader in Council D Srinivas, TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy and other legislatures including Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Dr J Geetha Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. However, legislators T Jeevan Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Santosh Kumar and Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed abstained from the meeting.
Briefing the media persons later, CLP Secretary Ram Mohan Reddy said as many 28 major issues have been identified which would be raised during the budget session. They include issues farmers' suicide, Swine flu, hike in power tariff, shifting of chest hospital, construction of new Secretariat, sale of government land and filling up of vacancies. The issue of disqualification of rebel legislators would also be raised in the House.
The CLP meeting lasted for nearly three-and-a-half hours.
