TS Govt to develop Temple in Chilpur Hyderabad, March 26 (INN): Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy has informed the Legislative Assembly on Thursday that the State Government was taking steps to develop the famous Sri Bugulu Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Chilpur village of Station Ghanpur of Warangal district.
Replying to a query raised by TRS MLA Aroori Ramesh and others during Question Hour, the minister said that the temple owns 225 acres and 6 gunta of land which is completely free from encroachments. He said the temple is located just 15 KM from railway station and about 10 km from National Highway. Due to good accessibility, it is visited by thousands of devotees every year. He said in the year 2014-15, the temple's income was Rs 46 lakh and after all expenditures it has a balance of Rs 21 lakh.
