Hyd Police gets Rs 64.58 Cr for CCTVs Hyderabad, March 27 (INN): The Telangana Government on Friday gave administrative sanction to the Commissioner of Hyderabad City Police for an amount of Rs 64.58 crore towards construction of City Police Commissionerates Headquarters and implementation of city-wide CCTV Surveillance System.
While Rs 44.58 crore will be spent on establishment of city-wide CCTV surveillance system covering Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police Commissionerates, the new Commissionerate will be constructed at a cost of Rs 20 crore.
In a separate GO (Rt No 249), the government gave administrative sanction towards purchase of 33 vehicles at a cost of Rs 1.25 crore from the already released amount of Rs 27.93 crore to the Police Department.
The 33 new vehicles include one Maruthi CIAZ VDI+, Maruthi Ertiga VDI and TATA LPT 709/38 BS3, two Mahindra Bus 15 Seater and Tata Xenon Crew CAB 3.0 Bicor BS-IV, 12 Tata Sumo Gold EX BS-IV and 14 Hero Splendor Plus Drum Kick Spoke.
In another order, the State Government accorded permission to Police Department to procure weapons, carrying cases and communication items under Special Infrastructure Scheme (SIS) at a cost of Rs 1.63 crore.
The Inspector General of Police (Greyhounds) has permitted to purchase 228 VHF Communication Equipments at a cost of Rs 1.25 crore; 50 Weapon Carrying Cases for Rs 23.75 lakh; 34 GPS Receivers for Rs 4.76 lakh; 14 Day Binoculars with Compass for Rs 3.92 lakh; 7 Field Scanner receivers with accessories for Rs 4.83 lakh and one Spotter Scope for Rs 74,000.
