Telugu music director Sri passed away All is not going well for our Telugu Film Industry! Unfortunately, we got to report yet another death news today. Music director Sri, son of well-known music director late Chakravarthi, died here in Hyderabad. Though he was born Kommineni Srinivasa Chakravathi, he was popular as Sri in his career and he composed music for more than 20 films in his career.
Some of his popular films were Money and its sequel, Little Soldier, Anaganaga Oka Roju, Sindhuram and Gaayam. Gopichand's Sahasam was his last notable work. He also rendered the evergreen song "Jagamantha Kutumbam Naade.." from Chakram. He is the regular singer for most of the Krishna Vamsi movies starting from Chandralekha.
The 49yr old composer is not keeping well from a while due to an ailment related to Kidneys and he breathed his last at his residence in Kondapur, Hyderabad. He is survived by his wife Aruna and son Rajesh Chakravarthy.
Sri started career as anchor and he was the lead anchor for the show Anthyakshari in Gemini TV which was telecasted during 1995. Singer Sunitha was the co-anchor for that show. It was huge hit during that time. We are sad about untimely demise of the talented composer. May his soul rest in peace.
