GC Group to sync Islamic studies Hyderabad, April 20 (INN): The Genius Citizen's Group of Institutions has decided to expand its network across the Telangana State to promote the concept of merging Islamic studies with the modern education.
The decision was taken on the occasion of Hifz Graduation ceremony held on Sunday. Two regular students of GC High School have completed Hifz (memorising of Holy Quran) in a short span of time while continuing their regular studies. The students - Syed Abdul Wahed and Md Abdul Haq of 9th class have completed their Hifz. While Syed Abdul Wahed memorised 20 Paaras of Holy Quran, Md Abdul Haq memorised 15 Paaras during the academic year 2014-15 while continuing their regular studies. As per the GC High School's policy, both the students were given scholarships of Rs 1,000 per Paara they memorised in a year. Therefore, Syed Abdul Wahed got Rs 20,000 scholarship while Mohammed Abdul Haq got Rs 15,000. As an incentive, their teacher Hafez Md Ibrahim Shareef has been given a cash award of Rs 30,000.
Eminent personalities including Moulana Mohiuddin Quadri Sahab and Moulana Syed Shah Azizullah Quadri Sahab - Shaik-ul-Maqulaat, Jamia Nizamia, famous social activists Syed Nizamuddin, Peace Ambassador of UN MA Najeeb and GC High School Chairman Syed Abdul Subhan congratulated the students and their teacher on their achievement.
Speaking on the occasion, the speakers praised the GC Group of Institutions' innovative approach to education. They said while hundreds of Madarsa students are unable to get modern education, thousands of Muslim children studying in various schools have no time to get Islamic education. However, by merging the Islamic religious studies with the modern education, the GC High School has set a new trend. Now the children will be able to complete their Hifz (memorising of Holy Quran) while continuing their regular studies. The incentive of Rs 1,000 on memorising one paara would attract lot of students and they will take equal interest in Islamic studies.
Encouraged by this success, the Genius Citizen's High School management has decided to expand its network across Telangana State. They aim to spread more awareness about the importance of imparting religious and Islamic education to the school students without affecting their regular studies. Through planned and systematic approach, the school can produce toppers in regular studies, who will also become Hafiz, before they complete their SSC.
The GC Group chairman also announced that more number of schools and study centres would be set up in all districts of Telangana and the expansion drive would begin from the Greater Hyderabad limits
