Aadhar linkage to be completed by April 30 Hyderabad, April 23 (INN): GHMC Commissioner and District Election Officer Somesh Kumar on Thursday held a meeting with the representatives of all recognized political parties on linking of Aadhar card with Electronic Photo Identity Card (EPIC).
Somesh Kumar informed that the Election Commission of India has introduced the linking of Aadhar with epic data base for purification for elector rolls 2015. Therefore, the linking of Aadhar with epic programme has been taken in the entire GHMC area with 24 Assembly constituencies in all the 18 Circles of the GHMC with 7,248 polling stations with a total number of voters 75.17 lakhs. As on April 22, as many as 12.28 lakh voters have been covered and the number of Aadhar seeded so far is 1.69 lakhs. The GHMC has appointed 5,071 booth level officers as field functionary and they are conducting door to door verification. The supervisors are also been appointed at the rate of one supervisor for 10 booth Level Officers.
The Deputy Commissioners / Electoral Registration Officers are the organizing authorities and they are coordinating with the field staff for effective implementation of the programme.

Mee-Seva: Visit nearby Mee-seva along with copies of EPIC and Aadhar; Internet - Visit 164.100.132.184/epic/ for portal seeding; BLO ' Provide copy of Aadhar / EPIC to your BLO and Special Campaign - Visit your Polling Station on 19th and 26th April 2015 and handover Aadhar / EPIC details.
The members from various political parties who have participated in the political parties meeting are T Niranjan (Congress), S Yellanna (BSP), D Ramu (Lok Satta), D Sudhakar (CPI), J Kumara Swamy (CPM), Syed Mustafa Ahmed (AIMIM), Ashwin Margam (TRS) and Asha Ram (BJP).
