Free entry for below 14 years children in GHMC Parks About 100 students of 20 various schools have participated in the painting competition organised by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation at Indira Park here on Sunday.
The painting competition, for the children below 14 years, was held on the theme "Children Participatory Planning of Parks" wherein students conveyed their suggestions on parks through their paintings.
GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar interacted with the students and listened to their suggestions. He assured the students that their suggestions would be incorporated in the GHMC's plan for development of parks. He said that a meeting would be conducted with senior citizens soon to take their suggestions for the development of the city. He also announced that all children below 14 years of age will have free entry in the GHMC parks.
Later, Somesh Kumar distributed Tulsi and mango plants to the parents and the teachers who have participated in the painting competition.
Additional Commissioners N Ravi Kiran and Shafi Ullah, Urban Forestry Director Mustafa and other senior officials of the GHMC have participated in the programme.
