Hyderabad Metro has world class facilities: Dattatreyya Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya has expressed happiness over the progress of the metro rail works in Hyderabad.
Speaking to the media persons after inspecting Nagole Metro station and Metro Depot here on Saturday, Dattatreyya said that the local youth would get preference in employment opportunities in Hyderabad Metro.
The Rs 14,500 crore HMR is a first project built under PPP model in the country and available world class technology is also being used here by the constructing L&T Company, said Union Minister. "When I was a minister, the preliminary works were started for Hyderabad metro and MMTS phase-II," he added.
'The metro mode is essential to reduce air pollution and for affordable for the urban people. The eco friendly transport mode will be boost for the ambitious Swachh Bharat mission. HMR has taking care of the workers welfare. To get the Universal City tag, Hyderabad needs such types of projects," he added.
The Union Minister asked the Telangana State Government to speed the completion of metro works by clearing hurdles for the land acquisition. I wish the Metro project would be launched as early as possible and the local youth will get more employment opportunities here, he said. Malkajgiri MP Malla Reddy, Uppal MLA NVSS Prabhakar and HMR MD N.V.S Reddy and other Metro officials were also there along with the minister during the inspection.
