International Laughter Day Celebrations held in Hyderabad Hyderabad, May 03: ABC Laughter Club observed International Laugher Day on Sunday. The International Laughter Day is celebrated every year on 1st Sunday of the May. To mark the occasion and celebrate the same, a Rally/Procession was taken from Tankbund to Jagadish Mandir .
At the end of the rally a meeting was held to mark the occasion. Also 18th Anniversary of ABC Laughter Club was celebrated by cutting the cake. A booklet on ABC Laughter Club was launced.
The function was graced by President Mrs. Shririn Punjwani. Jayaprakash, Founder of Sujatatha School and Dr. A.K. Purohit, Nero Surgeon, NIMS; Dr. Kanthi Lal, Cardiologist of Apollo were Chief Guests.
Disclosing this in a press note issued in city today the member of Melkote Park and Laughting Club Manoj Kothari said nearly 250 people took part in the procession. Suraj Prasad Agarwal and Rajkuarji Sarajwal were guests of honour.

All the members of different branches of ABC Laughter Club in twin cities, assembled at 6.30 AM and took a procession on foot for an Hour, carrying Banners & Placards and Chanting slogans highlighting the virtues of Laughter ('Hasya yoga'). Later all the members gathered at JAGADISH MANDIR, to exchange their happy feelings and experiences.
Dr. Madan Kataria, a physician by profession in Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai, is the Founder President of Laughter Club International, started this club in Mumbai. Today it has over 5000 branches spread over the world. Dr. Kataria is attending laughter seminars in different countries, sponsored by international corporate houses. Now the head quaters & laughter university are in Bangalore informed Manoj Kothari.
In Hyderabad city ABC (ALWAYS BE CHEERFUL) Laughter Club' has completed 18 years in the Guidance of Mrs. Shirin Panjwani as its founder president. Since then Laughter Sessions are held regularly every day early in the morning in different parks of the twin cities, added Manoj Kothari.
In these days there is a lot of competition in one's day to day life / business / profession / service / education etc. which is mostly ending up in stress related diseases like high B.P. Diabetes, cardiac disorders, peptic ulcer, asthma, spondylitis, insomnia & depression etc. People are spending money and time in attending Hospitals, Spiritual lectures and religious practices to overcome these problems, which is not reachable for a common man. The benefits of Laughter include building leadership qualities, enhancing self-confidence and strengthening overall immune system of our body. Of course, one need not pay anything to buy laughter. It is free of cost and available in abundance always and everywhere.
