Krishna Rao holds review meeting with Secretaries Hyderabad, May 5 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao has conducted a meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday, with all the Secretaries and Head of the Departments.
Issues pertaining to Andhra Pradesh for inclusion on PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance And Timely Implementation) Portal, issues for e-Samiksha - Portal monitoring the issues posed by State Government to Ministries of Govt. of India by office of Cabinet Secretary, selected issues for finalization have been sent to the concerned Secretaries and any other important issues requires resolution with Govt. of India proposed by the administrative Secretaries, preparation of shelf of projects for EAP (Externally Added Projects), Mission, Growth Engines Action Plan, Aadhar Seeding and Godavari Pushkarams were discussed in the meeting.
Progress for establishing Central University and Tribal Welfare University in Andhra Pradesh was pursued by the Chief Secretary with AK Singhal, Resident Commissioner, A.P. Bhavan, New Delhi.
The Chief Secretary suggested to the Officers, that any important issues pending with Government of India may be focused by uploading the issue in RAGATI Portal of Prime Minister's Office and said to the Finance Department to upload about the funds of Rs.690 Crore which not received from 13th Finance Commission, Government of India.
A detailed discussion has done by the Chief Secretary on the shortlisted issues, to be uploaded in e-Sameeksha Portal of Government of India and issued instructions to all the HoDs to update all the State Government Department Websites with latest information.
The Chief Secretary informed that Minimum Support Price (MSP) should be given for the Red-gram on par with Maize and a vide campaign to be given on Minor Millets on health point of view. Food values of the Minor Millets may be projected in urban and rural areas and concerned Department is advised to slowly start the procurement of Minor Millets make it available at all the Fair Price Shops, Sri Krishna Rao said.
Reviewing on Mission, Growth Engines Action Plan, the growth engines in the State and how to increase the growth rate from the sectors that are identified as income generators are discussed. The Chief Secretary asked the concerned for implementing the action plan, drilling down the activities to Mandal and Village level for the state growth. Spl. Chief Secretary Sri S.P. Tucker said that in the districts extensively dependant on Primary Sector (Agriculture related) there is a need to change in the structure to increase the growth rate.
The Chief Secretary directed all the Officers, that month-wise performance of each and every department may be evaluated to identify the hurdles and to work towards improvement.
