Social Security Scheme for Journalists Hyderabad, May 21: The Commissioner, Information and Public Relations Department, B.P.Acharya on Wednesday urged the Journalists to register their names in the office of District Public Relations Officer for implementation of Social Security Scheme for Working Journalists in Telangana State.
The Chief Minister ordered on the event of May Day celebrations for implementation of a Social Security Scheme for Working Journalists in Telangana State for a coverage of Rs.five lakhs accidental insurance for which an amount of Rs.two lakh will come from the Pradhana Mantri Surakhsha Bheema Yojana (PMSBY) scheme and Rs.three lakhs from the State Government. The entire cost of premium for Rs.five lakhs accidental insurance for beneficiary covered under the scheme shall be paid by the State Government.
The Journalists who want to become members in this scheme have to open Jan Dhan Yojana Savings Bank account in any of the Nationalized Banks. They should ensure compliance with the conditions for eligibility for Rs.two lakhs accidental insurance scheme under Pradhana Mantri Surakhsha Bheema Yojana.
