While it is scheduled for May 31, a shocking is news is doing rounds in media. According to grapevine, Baahubali producer Shobhu Yarlagadda is planning to meet Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao with the proposal of ticket hike in theatres.
'
Currently KTR is in USA and once he returns the producer along with members from the film industry will meet the minister to explain the price hike proposal. Once the government approves the plan in the Nizam area, then distributors from the two states will automatically increase the price of tickets.
'
We hear that prices of tickets will be doubled on Friday, Saturday and Sunday while it remains little hiked on weekdays.'Currently multiplexes are charging 150 Rs and single screens are charging''75 Rs per ticket. If the proposal was agreed the ticket prices may hike to 250-300 in multiplexes and 100-150 in single screens. We need to see whether TRS govt accepts the proposal or not.
