Heat wave toll crosses 760 in AP, TS Hyderabad, May 26 (INN): The death toll due to the heat wave conditions in Telugu States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has crossed 760 on Tuesday.
While 551 people were killed in Andhra Pradesh, 213 deaths were reported in Telangana State due to heat wave conditions. Ramagundam in Telangana sizzled with a maximum temperature of 44.8 degree Celsius. In Andhra Pradesh, the maximum temperature of 46.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in a village of Prakasam district. Tuni of East Godavari District recorded 46.3 degrees Celsius while Kakinada recorded 46.1 degrees. The Met Department has issued a heat wave warning for Adilabad, Khammam, Nalgonda and Karimnagar districts of Telangana.
