OU students storm petrol pump Hyderabad, May 26 (INN): A day after attacking the Swagat Grand Hotel at Habsiguda, the students of Osmania University attacked a petrol pump which they claimed was built on encroached land of the university.
The OU students, affiliated to Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, ransacked the petrol pump and raised slogans against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. They warned KCR of severe agitation if he decides to take away land belonging to Osmania University for weaker section housing. Several students were later taken into custody by the police.
The OU Unemployed Students Joint Action Committee too announced that it would organize a massive public meeting on June 1. It also threatened to boycott the Telangana Formation Day if KCR does not withdraw his decision to take away OU land.
