Naidu holds emergency meeting Hyderabad, May 28 (INN): Taking out time from the busy Mahanadu schedule, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu held an emergency meeting on efforts to restore electricity after two transformers in a 132 KV substation exploded due to overheating in Nidadavole, West Godavari district.
The transformers' blast has cut off electricity supply to farm lands of Dendaluru and Chintalapudi areas since last night.
Speaking to Secretary (Energy) Ajay Jain over the telephone, the Chief Minister directed officials to restore electricity in the area on war-footing basis.
The Chief Minister also reviewed about the heat wave in the state. The state government has earlier announced Rs 1 lakh compensation to the victims who died due to heat stroke.
