Telangana EAMCET results declared Hyderabad, May 28 (INN): Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari declared the results of Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) auditorium here on Thursday.
As many 90,556 or 70.6% candidates have qualified for Engineering while 75,794 or 85.9% aspirants have passed the entrance test for Agriculture and Medicine streams. Girls have outperformed boys in the medicine stream.
While 128,174 candidates had appeared for the engineering, 92,362 students wrote the entrance exam in the medical stream on May 14.
The Deputy CM informed that the candidates could download their OMR Answer Sheets from May 29 and can report the mistakes, if any, till June 2. He announced that the counseling for admissions into engineering courses would begin before June 18 and a notification in this regard would be issued by the Telangana State Council for Higher Education. The first phase of counseling will be held from 18th to 24th June. The candidates will be able to pick options from 20th to 26th June.
The second phase of counseling will be held on 9th and 10th July and options can be selected from 9th to 11th July. The allotment of seats will be done on 14th July. The selected candidates will have to report to the colleges on 16th July and it is proposed to commence the classes from 31st July.
