Dr. JP inaugurates 'Future Scope' yderabad, May 29 (INN): Lok Satta President Dr Jayaprakash Narayan on Friday inaugurated the education fair 'Future Scope 2015' at Hitex, Madhapur.

Speaking after the inauguration and delivering his key note address on 'Following your dream and planning your career', Dr JP said our employment which was agri-oriented became urban centric over a period of time. Every year we are adding two crore youth to the job market. While China is losing 3-4 million jobs every year, India has a huge unemployment ratio. At the same time large number of graduates and post graduates are being added every year to the job market. But, very few are employable. We need to fill the gap, he said.
Our education system is one of the worst in the world. There is no problem of educational infrastructure or money. What is the problem is we are unable to differentiate what is right, what is wrong. Forget marks and grades. They are of no consequence. We need knowledge. Our governments cannot understand what is success. As result a success by any means become a success. Governments are unable to measure what is success. As a result our education has become redundant. Unfit are becoming teachers he said. Degrees are mere a piece of paper. They have no value. We need to skill out people.
The three day expo, which is in its second year, brought together aspiring students and educational providers under one roof. The fair hosted an array of 50 exhibitors ranging from foreign universities to specialized institutions, from loans and distant learning solutions to various other service providers. There are also special seminars conducted for students on various topics.
Apollo MedSkills stall offered various skills development programs like Diploma in Cardiac Non Invasive Technology; Radiology and Imaging Technology; Dialysis Technology; Operation Theatre Technology and Medical Lab Technology programs for 10+2 students. A dedicated stall was put up for Medical Skills Development. Apollo Med Skills & NTEC(New Zealand) are offering one and half year Diploma in Health Services Management.
Asia's Biggest Film School, Annapurna International School of Film and Media through its stall disseminated information about Bachelors in Film+Media with specializations such as Film Making; Journalism+PR; Advertising + Digital Marketing; Graphic + Multimedia Design and Photography+ Digital Imaging.
Raffles Millennium Intl displayed information about various design 'Fashion, Interior and Jewellery Design and Multimedia courses. ICFAI put up a stall on various B.Tech programs, Acharya Nagarjuna University on various online programs; Administrative Staff College of India(ASCI on the post graduate Diploma in Hospital Management; Aptech about Aviation and Hospitality programs.
Institute of Public Enterprises provided information about 'The Entrepreneur Zone', an entrepreneurship training and incubation centre as well as certificate program in Entrepreneurship Development and various management programs.
Panache, School of Creative Careers provided information on DJ Education, Music Production etc. There were lot of exhibitors seen offering various programs either in Hospitality Management or Hospital Management.
Seminars were held on sidelines of the exhibition on various subjects. The seminars which will be during the expo include: Innovative in Agricultural Technology; Fostering Employability Skills to promote individual growth in the hospitality sector; Career opportunities in security forces of our nation; Information technology: Career outlook; Careers in Civil Engineering and Construction Technologies; Careers in overseas medical education; Careers in Culinary Arts and Catering Technology; Job oriented Diploma Course and The Art of career navigation: Plan, Persuade, Perform.
Many distinguished speakers like Amala Akkineni, Prof. Dr. M. Malakondaiah, IPS; JA Chowdary, Talent Sprint; K. Bikshapathi, DG of National Academy on Construction; Ravi Kanth, Director General, Administrative Staff College of India T.V.K. Singh, Suryanarayan Raju, NITHM are lined up as speakers for the seminar during the three days of the exhibition.
