House panel to visit Jubilee Hills Society areas The House Committee for Cooperative Housing Societies has decided to visit the areas under the Film Nagar and Jubilee Hills Society to probe into the alleged irregularities.
The decision was taken during the third meeting of the House Committee which was presided by its chairman RV Ramesh. Speaking to media persons later, Ramesh said that the committee discussed the issues pertaining to Nandi Nagar, Film Nagar, TNGOs Colony, Jubilee Hills and Venkateshwara Colony. He said that the committee members would visit the Jubilee Hills Society areas to review encroachments on parks, nalas and other encroachments. It would also review allegations of violation of GHMC norms in the constructions. He said that the House Committee would also enquire into the non-conduct of elections as the executive body is getting selected unanimously every time.
Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy said that all non-members should be evicted from the Jubilee Hills Society and all illegal constructions be demolished. He said that the House panel would not target anyone to take political vengeance, but it would ensure that the objective for which the land was allotted is fulfilled.
TDP MLA Gopinath, MIM MLA Ahmed Balala and others members participated in the meeting.
