Revanth bail extended; Huge setback to Stephenson in HC ACB Court extended the remand of TDP legislator A. Revanth Reddy, the main accused in the cash-for-vote case, and two other accused ' Harry Sebastian and Uday Simha ' till July 13,citing the reason of investigation being still under progress.
With the judicial custody of the accused ending Monday, the ACB produced them before the court and sought extension of the remand on the ground that the investigations in the case are at a crucial stage.
After hearing the case court allowed to extend remand of the leader till July 13 th.ACB had arrested Telugu Desam Party (TDP) deputy leader Revanth Reddy on May 31 while he was handing over bribe of Rs.50 lakh to nominated legislator Elvis Stephenson.
Meanwhile Elvin Stephenson faced huge setback in High court. High Court on Monday quashed Stephenson's petition to change the bench which is hearing cash-for-vote accused Mathaih's petition to remove his name from the list of accused in the cash-for-vote scam.
The High Court fumes upon him for wasting the court's precious time with silly complaints and dismissed his petition.
