French delegation calls on Jupally Hyderabad, July 1 (INN): Welcoming the 44 member French delegation lead by Paul Hermelin, Special Representative for Economic Relations with India and Francois Richier, Ambassador of France in India, Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, has stated that Telangana is the number one destination in India for establishing industries.
Jupally said that under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao, a single window policy has been formulated for prospective industrialists across the Globe to set up their industries in the Telangana State. He said that industrialists would be given a red carpet welcome right from the Airport without red tapism and graft free and the entire process will be completed within 15 days.
The Minister has showcased the ecological features of Hyderabad stating that it is located in Deccan Plateau with minimal exposure to earth quakes with suitable weather conditions. Many major IT companies like WIPRO, Infosys, Microsoft, TCS have established their offices and many other are in process of setting up their offices here in Hyderabad. Reputed Pharma Companies have also come forward for setting up of their offices in the Telangana State.
Jupally has requested the delegation to establish industries and strengthen the relations further. He stated that the Indo French relationship would improve bilaterally with the French setting shop in Telangana and hoped that in future when the French visited Telangana they would feel like they are in Paris.
Francois Richier has remarked that the interaction is an excellent platform to exchange of ideas and understanding the facilities being accorded. He said this will lead for better economic development and cooperation in various fields. He opined that this is a good initiation and will pave way for better investments in Telangana State.
Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma in his opening remarks has said that the Telangana Government has initiated many flagship programmes duly focussing on urban infra projects, uninterrupted power supply, Telangana Drinking Water Supply Project and implementing the many welfare programmes for the poor in the state. Reiterating the safety and security of the people the Govt. has focused its attention by giving top most priority to public safety duly placing high security cameras at all vulnerable places he said. He stressed the need for opportunities in Waste management, improvement in public transport system etc.
Heads of various Multimodal Transport systems like Alstorm Transport, Dassault Systems, Egis, Jcdecaux, Keolis, Lumiplan, Poma Group, Ratp Transdev, systra, Thales, vossloh Cogifer, Energy and Power companies like ACME, Citelum, Engie (GDF SUEZ), Schneider Electric, Total India, Solairedirect,Egis,
French Companies representing Planning and Urban Design & Security, Information and communication, Housing and Building took part in the meeting.
The delegation will visit the concerned departments on Thursday and have talks with the concerned officials.
The Prl.Secy. Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Prl.Secy TR&B, Spl. Commissioner HMDA, CMD TRANSCO and GENCO, Secy. Pollution Control Board, Commissioners of Hyderabad and Cyberabad and other officials of various important departments were present during the meeting and they have highlighted their departmental initiatives for setting up of industries in Telangana.
