VHR accuses KCR of wasting public money Hyderabad, July 3 (INN): Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao on Friday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of wasting public money.
Speaking to media persons after calling on AICC President Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi, VHR said that the Chief Minister purchased a new bus worth over Rs. 5 crore to travel to different districts as part of 'Telangana Haritha Haram' programme. He said instead of wasting such a huge amount, the same could have been used for the welfare of poor people.
Commenting on D Srinivas, VHR described the former PCC chief as an opportunist who joined the TRS only to get a post. He said that the credit for formation of Telangana goes to only Sonia Gandhi.
