Adhere to targets to execute Metro Rail works: CS Hyderabad, July 7 (INN): Telangana Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma conducted Special Task Force (STF) meeting on Tuesday and reviewed the progress of Hyderabad Metro Rail project.
Making a detailed presentation on the Action Taken Report (ATR) on the decisions of previous STF meeting, HMR Managing Director NVS Reddy informed that since last STF meeting, critical properties such as Country Club and property of WAKF board at Begumpet were acquired. In addition, 7 important properties were also dismantled. He further informed that work on all the three interchange Metro Rail stations at Ameerpet, Parade Grounds and Imliban are in progress.
The Chief Secretary, while reviewing the progress on utility shifting, instructed L&TMRHL to adhere to the targets for completion of those works. He cautioned them that any kind of delay in these works will cause inconvenience to the road users. L&TMRHL assured CS that they will complete the utility shifting works as per schedule and will also complete the restoration of road on priority.
Rajiv Sharma desired that Principal Secretary (MA & UD) shall hold a meeting with C & SO, GHMC, Commissioners of Police (Hyderabad & Cyberabad) and MD, HMR to evaluate proposals for improvement of critical junctions and road stretches. He has also desired that land pockets adjacent to the main roads which are suitable for development as parking slots shall also be identified and a report to be furnished in the next STF meeting.

Raghunandan Rao, DCP (Traffic) Cyberabad Avinash K Mohanty, CMD, TSSPDCL G Raghuma Reddy and other senior officials and engineers of the utility organizations of Government of Telangana, HMR and L&TMRHL have participated in the meeting.
