Over 2.3 lakh visit Tirumala temple replica Rajahmundry, July 21 (INN): Over 2.3 lakh devotees visited the replica of the Tirumala temple, set up Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) till Tuesday morning during the Godavari Pushkarams. On Monday alone, the visitors were 46,200.
All important pujas like Suprabhata seva, Tomala seva and Archana are performed to Lord Venkateswara at the Namoona (model) temple here. However, all the devotees coming in the queue are allowed darshan during the pujas. The Hundi collections are also impressive with Rs.19,14,895 collected till Monday where the day's collection was Rs.3,64,860.
The TTD is also running separately a free Ayurvedic and allopathy medical camps at the premises. The number of patients treated at the ayuredic camp was 1,881 till Tuesday morning. Most of the complaints of the patients were body pains, head ache, cold, throat infection, and itching sensation. Free medicines from the TTD Ayurveda Hospital and the pharmacy located at Narsingapuram in Srinivasa Mangapuram of Tirupati, are being distributed. The Allopathy camp is also run effectively with 6,000 taking medicines for allergy, joint pains and other ailments.
The TTD museum, photo exhibition and book exhibition-cum-sale stalls are also visited by the pilgrims. The book stall has over 300 titles and also Annamayya kirtana CDs.
