Chakrapani, Shabbir Ali condoles Dr. Kalam's death Hyderabad, July 28 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Chairman Dr. A. Chakrapani has expressed his deep condolence on sudden demise of former President of India Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam.
'Dr. Kalam has rendered his services to the nation as President of India and contributed his services as an eminent scientist towards scientific strengthening of Indian Army. His demise is a big loss to the entire nation, particularly to the scientific field. He was the father of Missile Technology and he served to the Nation in his whole life. He was a role model to the nation,' he said.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has expressed deep sorrow at the sad demise of Dr. Kalam.
In a media statement, Shabbir Ali extended heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family and described his death as a major loss to the nation. "Dr. Kalam was a true nationalist and his life will continue to inspire youth and future generations," he said.
Shabbir Ali recalled that Dr. Kalam was the first President who spoke in favour of formation of Telangana. "The Government will consider the demand for the formation of a Telangana state at an appropriate time after due consultations," Dr. Kalam had stated while addressing the Joint Session of Parliament on June 7, 2004. His words came true in the shape of formation of Telangana after 10 years. He said that Dr. Kalam's contribution to the nation will be remembered forever and making India a superpower will be a real tribute to the People's President.
