TPCC to enter into agitation mode Hyderabad, Aug 3 (INN): The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee will enter into an agitation mode against the TRS Government from Tuesday onwards.
The TPCC will organise massive dharnas at all Tehsil offices on Tuesday demanding payment of Indiramma Housing bills. According to TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy, the State Government was yet to clear the bills of nearly 4 lakh SC, ST and BC families who were allotted houses under Indiramma Housing. He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has cheated the people during elections while promising double-bedroom houses. However, despite completion of 14 months, not a single unit has been provided to the deserving beneficiaries. Further, he said that government was not clearing the arrears of Indiramma Housing. He appealed the beneficiaries of Indiramma Housing to participate in the Congress agitation.
Uttam Kumar Reddy also informed that mandal and division level meetings would be held across the Telangana State from 5th to 14th August. The TPCC will conduct padayatra in all the divisions of GHMC from 18th to 30th August. He also informed that T. Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy will formally re-join the Congress party on August 17. He said that the process to reconstitute the PCC body has been initiated and the new body will have 20 Vice-Presidents and Joint Secretaries, besides having a 10-member executive body.
