KTR launches e-Panchayat in Nizamabad Hyderabad, Oct 2 (INN): Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao launched e-Panchayat in Bibipet of Domakonda mandal in Nizamabad district on Friday.
Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Lok Sabha MP BB Patil, Government Whip Gampa Godvardhan and other leaders from Nizamabad district participated in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR said e-Panchayats were being launched to extend server services to the rural population using Information Technology. He said services like e-Seva and Mee Seva were confined to mandals. From now on, these services would be available at village level through e-Panchayats. The villagers can now get services like Land Records, Income Certificate, Birth and Death Certificates and also the banking services.
KTR informed that e-Panchayat facilities would be available in nearly 700 Gram Panchayats across Telangana State by this month end. He said this programme has been launched in 104 villages on Friday on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi.
The minister also claimed that the TRS Government was making strenuous efforts to resolve the agrarian crisis. However, he alleged that the opposition parties were trying to defame the government by leveling baseless allegations.
