KCR proposes new policy to acquire lands Hyderabad, Oct 13 (INN): Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has proposed a new policy to facilitate easy acquisition of land for different irrigation projects in the Telangana State.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting with the officials to discuss the issue of pending irrigation project. He said that most of the projects got delayed due to slow pace of land acquisition. Therefore, he said that the State Government would come out with a policy to ensure smooth acquisition of required land. He directed the officials to ensure one-time payment of compensation to the affected persons. He also promised 2BHK houses at a cost of Rs. 5.40 lakh each to the affected families.
KCR said that the State Government has allocated sufficient funds for irrigation projects and would release them as an when required to ensure early completion of all projects. He expressed satisfaction over the pace of land acquisition for irrigation projects in Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda and Adilabad districts.
