As expected ruling TRS continues its winning streak in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections. The counting process was started today evening at 5 Pm and all its candidates leading in more than 60 division's .The party had won 48 seats and was leading in 49 other divisions in 150-member municipal body.
The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) bagged eight divisions and was leading in 24 seats.TDP-BJP combine won in 3 areas and leading in 7. Congress has managed to won just one seat till now. Most of city and surrounding divisions are likely to be grabbed by TRS.
This was the first GHMC election after the formation of separate Telangana state and surprisingly TRS has no representation in the previous body.
