US firms praise Telangana's industrial policy Hyderabad, Feb 10 (INN): Members of the AMCHAM (American Chamber of Commerce) called on the Arvind Kumar, Secretary, Industries and Energy.
AMCHAM represents about 75 companies based in USA. The meeting focussed on the opportunities of American companies in Telangana. Later, they met Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma.
The Companies appreciated the policies of the State Government and announced their support.
Janssen, India ' the Pharma committee chair was present along with other industry leaders from Merck & Co, J&J, USAIC(USA India Chamber of Commerce), Pfizer, etc.,
Amcham India (American Chambers India) hosted a breakfast meeting on Medtech which was attended by the Secretary Industries and Energy at the Novotel. In the interaction, the idea was to discuss the eco-system required for getting Medical instruments manufacturing in Telangana.
Prabal Chakraborty, chairman AmCham Medical Device Committee & MD Boston Scientific India, Mohit Malhotra MD Stryker, Rakesh Sharma, Head Regulatory Affairs BD and KPMG attended the meeting. They welcomed the steps initiated by the State Government and have decided to make Telangana as focus state for medical devices manufacturing
