TRS MPs slams AP Govt over irrigation project row Hyderabad, May 3 (INN): TRS MPs have strongly condemned the decision of Andhra Pradesh Government to lodge a complaint with the Centre against the proposed irrigation projects of Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons in New Delhi on Tuesday, TRS MPs Konda Visveshwara Reddy and Seetharam Naik said that the Telangana region was subjected to injustice during the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh in sharing of river waters. They said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has decided to utilise the water allocated during that period by constructing different projects. They said it was wrong on the part of AP Government to stop those projects.
The TRS MPs pointed out that the Telangana Government did not oppose a single project being constructed in Andhra Pradesh. Further, they said Telangana gave away seven mandals for the construction of Polavaram project. They advised the Centre not to get misled with the propaganda being carried out by AP Government against Telangana's irrigation projects.
