GO issued: Five-day week for AP employees Andhra Pradesh government has decided to implement 'five-day week' for the employess who are willing to shift to new capital. Govt has issued a GO stating that all those employees who were ready to work at 'Interim Government Complex' built at Velagapudi in the Amaravati capital region will be having a five day a week.
Working hours will be 10 : 00 AM till 5 : 30 PM from Monday to Friday. The Andhra Pradesh government today said that it will complete the process of relocation of its offices to Amaravati by the end of this month.
The government had earlier planned to implement the government employee migration to the temporary secretariat in three phases. Now the govt wants the relocation to happen at one go, by June 27. Offices of ministers and the chief minister are to be located in Velagapudi. Offices of all other divisional department heads will be located in Vijayawada and Guntur.
The decision to implement the five-day week schedule can be seen as an incentive to lure the employess who so far have been expressing their reluctance to move to the temporary secretariat.
