YCP defeats All In Election Expenditure YS Jagan's party YSRCP has failed to attain the power in 2014 general elections but the party has created record in one aspect. The party came first in election expenses among regional parties in both telugu states.
A survey was conducted by Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) and National Election Observation to know the election expenditures of regional parties in 2004-2014 period. As per the survey YSCRP which has contested in one general election has spent a whopping Rs 18crs.
Andhra Pradesh state's ruling party TDP spent Rs 23crs in the last three Loksabha elections in the last ten years. In last ten years TRS contested in two and YSRCP in one loksabha elections. YSRCP came first even in raising funds for the elections and also stood first in election debts.
As per survey report TDP raised Rs 19.71crs and spent Rs 23.01 crs while TRS raised Rs 22.46crs,spent Rs 7.58crs. Regional parties like SP, AAP, AIADMK, BJD and SAD parties collected maximum funds and incurred maximum expenditure during last three Lok Sabha elections.
