High Court suspends six more judges Hyderabad, June 28 (INN): The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday suspended six more judges for allegedly participating in the agitation against the allotment of judges from Andhra Pradesh.
The High Court had suspended two judges on Sunday for participating in a protest rally.
The High Court's decision has triggered further protest by the advocates and judge. The Telangana Advocates JAC has given a call for "Chalo High Court" on Wednesday against the suspension of judge. Some advocates also lodged protest near the High Court on Tuesday. The attempt by protesting advocates to enter the High Court was foiled by the local police.
The judges who were suspending on Tuesday include Judicial Officers Association Vice-President Srinivas Reddy, Chandrashekar Prasad, Ramakanth, Tirupathi, Radha Krishna and Chauhan. Earlier, judges Ravinder Reddy and Varaprasad were suspended by the High Court.
The agitating judges have also cast aspersion on the High Court of Judicature saying it is showing some proclivity towards Andhra Pradesh. They alleged that as many as 126 judges having AP roots were posted in Telangana districts which denied their legitimate right to work in their native state.
