Haritaharam second phase from July 8 Hyderabad, July 1 (INN): Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that the Harithaharm, the afforestation drive, undertaken by the State Government aimed at making the state a greener state has now become a people's movement.
Addressing a meeting to review the arrangements for the second phase of the Harithaharam, the CM appealed the people to wholeheartedly take part in the drive. He said that Harithaharm would commence from July 8.
Accordingly, the CM would launch the second phase of the afforestation drive by planting a sapling on July 8 at Janawadi in Shankerapalli in RR district. He said that about 46 crore saplings would be planted across the state and urged every citizen to take part in the drive and make it a history.
The Chief Minister said that another review meeting would be held on July 4 and guidelines would be issued to take up the programme throughout the state. He appealed the heads of managing committees of temples, masjids, churches and other places of worship to take in the drive.
