PM for Telangana on Aug 7 Hyderabad, July 24 (INN): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Telangana on August 7 to participate in various programmes. This will be Modi's first visit to Telangana, since assuming his office in May 2014.
According to official sources, Modi will visit three districts to participate in various during his visit.
At Gajwel in Medak district, the home district of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Prime Minister will formally launch Mission Bhageeratha, Telangana government's flagship programme aimed at providing piped drinking water to every household in the state. He is likely to address a public gathering on the occasion.
The prime minister will also set foundation stone for two additional 1,600 MW (2 X 800 MW) power plants by the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) at Ramagundam in Karimnagar district. He will also lay foundation stone for the revival of Fertilizer Corporation of Indian (FCI) as Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited.
During his visit to Warangal, Modi will set foundation stone for a textile park. The state government plans to develop this as India's largest textile park.
