AP Agriculture department office inaugurated Amaravati, Aug 27 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Agriculture minister Prattipati Pullarao on Saturday inaugurated the office of the Agriculture department at the new State Secretariat at Velagapudi.
Speaking to the media persons, the minister said that the State Government would improve the agrarian produce in the state by providing the farmers the latest technology in the agri-sector. He said that the government would provide rain guns to farmers at 50% subsidy in the drought hit district in the state. He said that a symposium on natural vegetation would be held at Tirupati from September 11.
On a question regarding the special category status to Andhra Pradesh, the minister said that there would be no compromise on the issue and anyone raising the issue was good for the state. He praised Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan for speaking on the issue saying the actor was a friend of the government. There would be relentless struggle on the issue, the minister added.
