Chandrababu conducts aerial survey Guntur, Sept 25 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday conducted an aerial survey of Guntur district that was battered by the incessant rains over the week.
The Chief Minister inspected the flood affected Gurazala, Macherla in the district and reviewed the damaged crops and other loss to the civic infrastructure.
Speaking to media persons later, the Chief Minister assured all help to the people of rain hit areas. The affected farmers will be compensated under the Pradhan Mantri Phasal Bima Yojana, Chandrababu said. He said that the damaged road would be repaired within a month. He directed the officials to carry out relief measure on a war-footing.
Nine persons have so far died in rain-related incidents in the state - six in Guntur and three in Visakhapatnam.
